A journey through time, places, music and living traditions, seeking a Celtic heritage in contemporary Europe. From Hallstatt, where the first Celtic civilization had its origins; to Lorient, where the most important gathering takes place: thousands of miles and a whole summer spent on board of two "Celticaravans", travelling across Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France, England, Isle of Man, Cornwall, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Spain.
Travelling from place to place in a close sequence, following a path indicated by archaeological sites, traditional celebrations and folk events: this is the method we chose to investigate the existence of a common European feeling, based on the sharing of ancient traditions.
The Celticaravan tour will offspring a video documentary: a visual documentation of a journey through archaeological excavations and magic atmospheres induced by music, traditional folkloric events, landscapes, cultural foundations and many people whose loving interest started the present rediscovery of Celtic cultures, both ancient and modern. The documentary, filmed in a digital format, will be launched during the next edition of the Marché International des Programmes TV (MIP TV) of Cannes.
